Voting in the November 7, 2023 Santa Fe Election
Voter Registration
The deadline to register to vote by mail or online is October 17. You can also register to vote in person through “Same Day Registration” during Early Voting and Election Day at Voting Convenience Centers.
Absentee Voting by Mail
You can request an absentee ballot now! The easiest way is to request your absentee ballot online. Ballots will be mailed out beginning on October 10. You can track the status of your absentee ballot here.
Returning your absentee ballot is easy. You can:
Return your ballot by mail, using the pre-paid return envelope.
Hand deliver your absentee ballot to any Voting Convenience Center beginning October 21 through election day on November 7.
The last day to request an absentee ballot is October 24 but we recommend requesting it much sooner than that. All absentee ballots must be received by 7pm on election day, November 7. If you still have your absentee ballot on November 2, we strongly encourage you to hand deliver your ballot to a Voting Convenience Center.
Early Voting In-Person
Early voting begins on October 10 at the County Clerk office.
Expanded early voting at Voting Convenience Centers begins on October 21 through November 4.
You can vote at any Voting Convenience Center in your county. You can find the most convenient Voting Convenience Center here.
Voting Convenience Centers are open from Monday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm.
Election Day In-Person
Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Polling locations close at 7pm.
